If you're new to the ITSA API, you've come to the right place.

Integrations use the API to access the ITSA TOKENBASE. Integrations can connect services to ITSA and build interactive experiences for users within ITSA. Using the navigation on the left, you'll find details for each endpoint and type of object used in the API.

Before you get started with the API, you may obtain some background information about ITSA and its products (ITC, ITIN, TOKENBASE) through our Guides.

How to quickly find datasets

You may use our free frontend of the TOKENBASE, where you can search for Tokens and their related information like the ITIN and the ITC classification: https://api.itsa.global/search-tokens.

For extended functionality, you may quickly learn more about our machine-readable APIs, which our active members can use. Click through the endpoints of the TOKENBASE API on the navigation at the left side to test the API directly and to get more information about the parameters.

ITSA members have the license to use the data according to their membership type (e.g. academic and non-profit use for academic and non-profit members). Please have a look at the membership section on the ITSA website for more information on the different membership types and the associated terms of use. Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.

If you need assistance or want to apply for membership, please reach out to us here.

ITSA truly believes in the growing importance of the global token economy and the vast transformational potential of distributed ledger technology for traditional industries. As Chaopeng Zhao (CEO, Binance) has put it frankly: “In a couple of years, there will be millions of coins.”

Therefore ITSA provides easy to use datasets which can be used with a double click. Some examples to show how easy ITSA’s data usage is:

The ITSA API allows for filtering of tokens by their classification according to the ITC Codes. In addition, ITC information for the requested tokens is also included in most of the returns to GET requests.

Below you will find some resources to deepen your understanding on the usage of classification structure:

  • To get a quick start with our API, please read the ITC Framework Documentation section on Framework Structure. Consult Appendix 2: ITC Code Descriptions to see which ITC Codes can be used to filter tokens with the ITSA API. We highly recommend you to familiarize yourself with the ITC to ensure that you are able to use the ITSA API to its fullest potential. For a quick high-level overview, the ITC Questionnaire Table is a great place to start.
  • For ITC Codes of ITC v.1.1, take a look at the ITC v1.1 Documentation.
  • For ITC Codes of ITC v.0.9, take a look at the ITC v0.9 Documentation. Please keep in mind that the ITC v0.9 was never completed for release and the documentation here does not have the same quality as ITC v1.1. V0.9 was simply a working draft. Nonetheless, it is important to know the ITC 0.9 Codes, as some Tokenbase entries have not been fully updated to ITC v1.1 yet.
